La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing support, encouragement, information, and education to parents who choose to breastfeed. Attending La Leche League meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing parents. At these monthly meetings, attendees share not only their questions and concerns but also the benefits and joys of breastfeeding. Knowing others who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring. It is also important to have accurate, up-to-date information.
Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group.
