LLL of Pennsylvania

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.

La Leche League of Scranton, Pennsylvania

Our Group covers from Scranton north about to the NY state border, and south to the Greater Pittston area Group, in Northeastern PA.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Nursing babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Morning Meeting Time and Location:
Our daytime meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Mary Ann Rogan. Please call her at (570) 563-0976 for directions.

Evening Meeting Time and Location:
Please contact a Leader for evening meeting information.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.

We can be reached through SHINE/FIRST (a self help referral network), listed under La Leche League. The telephone number is (570) 961-1234.
