All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding
are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding
help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meetings are held at 10 AM on the third Tuesday of each month at Fallsington Friends
Meetinghouse, 9300 New Falls Rd, in Fallsington. Contact the Leader for more information.
We hold a series of meetings based on four topics. The series is repeated three times annually,
but the discussions are never the same. The general topics include:
- The Advantages of Breastfeeding
- The Baby Arrives/The First Eight Weeks
- The Art of Breastfeeding/Avoiding Difficulties
- Nutrition and Weaning
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their
own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League
International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of
breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding
questions or concerns.
If you are unable to reach the Leader, please try the Philadelphia Helpline at (610) 666-0359.
